Flash Fiction

Even though there really isn’t much of a market for fiction shorter than at least a few thousand words, I partake in the occasional flash fiction extravaganza.

In case you didn’t know it, any work shorter than 1,000 words is considered flash fiction. Work shorter than 100 words is considered a drabble, for instance. Slightly longer works (say, 4,000-6,000) float in the short story range. Novellas hover in the 20,000 ionosphere.

When you blast off into the stratosphere, where novels are born, live, and then become eternal and immortal specters, we’re talking 60,000+ (probably closer to 80,000-100,000) words.

To be considered stories, all fiction still has to have a beginning, middle, and end.

Whenever I finish a piece of flash fiction (or something in that neighborhood), I will probably post it here first.

Simply for you to enjoy.

Don’t say I never gave you anything.
